Galahad-KV Enables 50M Token Memory via Local NVMe Storage
October 8, 2026
The galahad-kv package implements a memory layer that saves KV states of 16,000-token blocks to encrypted local NVMe disk. Tested on Gemma 4 12B and 31B via vLLM on a single H100, it provides byte-exact state retrieval for up to 50 million tokens faster and cheaper than recomputation.
HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU
●
builderYou can implement massive context windows without the latency and compute costs of constant KV recomputation.
●
researcherThis method offers a practical way to scale long-term memory in LLM architectures using disk-based state management.
