Analysis Finds 30% of New arXiv Papers Flagged as AI-Written

A study of 12,750 arXiv papers shows approximately 30% of recent submissions are flagged as machine-written. The detector was calibrated to a 0.4% false-positive rate on pre-ChatGPT scientific text to isolate actual increases in LLM usage within academic literature.
