Cheyenne Suspends Data Center Wastewater Discharges Following Bacterial Contamination

The Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities suspended all data center industrial wastewater discharges after Goat Systems LLC, a contractor for Meta, discharged Cupriavidus gilardii into the reclaimed water supply. The metal-resistant bacterium disabled two water reclamation plants and required months of cleanup, leading to a revocation of fill-and-flush privileges.
