Anthropic to Implement Claude Text and Image Watermarking in EU

Claude models released in the EU on or after August 2, 2026, will include embedded text watermarks and C2PA provenance metadata. These marks are intended for transparency but may be stripped via screenshots, format conversion, or direct editing.
