TRACE Framework for Efficient GUI Agent Visual Token Pruning

TRACE is a training-free framework designed to reduce inference latency and memory usage in GUI agents by pruning high-resolution screenshot tokens. It uses a layout-derived interaction prior combined with instruction relevance and feature novelty to make irreversible token admission decisions that preserve coverage of operable regions.
