Face-Free Training Achieves High Accuracy in Presentation Attack Detection

Using the TPO dataset of non-face objects like tomatoes and onions, researchers demonstrated that PAD detectors can learn transferable representations without facial data. A detector trained on these objects achieved a 92.70% average AUC on standard face datasets.
