Complexity Limits of Sequential Reasoning in Flow Matching

This study proves that additional sampling steps in vanilla flow-matching samplers cannot increase the expressive power of a constant-depth backbone model. It shows that the trajectory can be simulated by a constant number of parallel evaluations.
