LASAGNA provides an open-source framework to evaluate how modular RAG components like reranking and query augmentation interact across 450 configurations. Testing across eight benchmarks with up to 200K documents reveals that isolated performance gains in retrieval or compression do not always translate to improved end-to-end faithfulness.
