On-Policy Correction Outperforms Imitation in Agent Harness Evolution

Research indicates that training smaller models on expert trajectories within an evolved agent harness can cause performance regression. Instead, using on-policy correction and expert supervision of the harness allows weaker models to close the gap with frontier models.
