Advection-Aware Graph Structures Yield Diminishing Returns in Solar Forecasting

A controlled study shows that explicit advection-aware graph structures do not outperform standard spatiotemporal GNNs in solar ramp forecasting. Performance gains are primarily driven by accurate cloud-motion vector input features rather than the underlying graph topology.
