Variational-Ising-Attention Replaces Softmax for Scientific Modeling

Variational-Ising-Attention (VIA) replaces standard softmax normalization with an interacting Ising model to capture collective states through variational mean-field inference. When applied to retrosynthesis reaction center prediction, the method models cooperative bond-breaking constraints more effectively than independent attention mechanisms.
