Unsatz Benchmark for Autonomous Scientific Discovery

Unsatz is a benchmark where LLM agents must construct their own physical models (ansatz) to explain simulated systems. Instead of providing variables, the benchmark requires agents to buy experiments, write programs in a modeling language, and fit coefficients to unseen data.
