SATR Method Mitigates Multimodal RAG Failures from Polluted Retrieval

The QIMG-7 benchmark reveals that multimodal RAG performance drops from 0.908 to 0.490 when text is polluted, even with gpt-4o-mini. The proposed Source-Aware Trust Resolution (SATR) is a training-free approach that compares parametric, text-only, and full-multimodal answers to select the most reliable candidate.
