CutMix augmentation improves semantic segmentation reliability and robustness

Systematic analysis shows CutMix data augmentation has minimal impact on segmentation accuracy but significantly improves model reliability and calibration. The study tests DeepLabV3+ and SegFormer architectures across in-domain and out-of-domain scenarios.
