Surgical Alignment via KL Regularization in Clinical Knowledge Graph Training

Introduction of Gradient Intervention Density (GID) and Gradient Distortion (GD) metrics to differentiate between sparse, localized updates and dense, task-specific updates in LLM training. Findings show that KG-judgment training with KL regularization enables surgical alignment, preserving pretrained knowledge better than standard SFT.
