Agentic Pipelines Eliminate Outcome Leakage in ICU Mortality Explanations

An agentic pipeline for explaining ICU mortality predictions outperformed standalone LLMs by preventing outcome leakage. While an XGBoost model achieved an AUROC of 0.855, the four-step agentic pipeline provided safer, more clinically relevant narratives for bedside use.
