Query-Targeted Poisoning Reduces RAG Retriever nDCG@10 by Up to 61.5%

Corpus poisoning via query-targeted documents significantly degrades retrieval performance in RAG systems. On SciFact and NFCorpus datasets, injecting five documents per query reduced BM25 nDCG@10 by 40.2% to 61.5%, with query anchoring serving as the primary driver for degradation in dense models like BGE-small.
