Separating Content and Style for Improved Math Reasoning
October 2, 2026
A new algorithm separates content and style representations in LLMs, allowing student models to be fine-tuned on specific styles via importance weighting. Testing across six math benchmarks shows this method improves Pass@k compared to standard fine-tuning on the same data.
HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU
●
builderYou can use this to diversify model outputs and improve reasoning performance via style conditioning.
●
researcherYou can now decouple stylistic variation from semantic content during training.
