PTC-Bias Enables Efficient Rare-Word Recognition in Speech LLMs

PTC-Bias uses phoneme-level temporal competition to improve rare-word recognition in SpeechLLMs using bias lists up to 2,000 words. The two-stage retrieval and correction framework operates without additional model forward passes, reducing near-homophone and segmentation errors on LibriSpeech.
