Privacy and Robustness Trade-offs in Federated Intrusion Detection

This study analyzes how differential privacy, Byzantine-adversarial tolerance, and detection coverage interact in class-imbalanced federated network intrusion detection systems. Using the UNSW-NB15 dataset, the research identifies how privacy-induced dispersion can suppress minority-class signals during robust aggregation.
