Evaluating Memory Retrieval Methods for Inherited Agent Memory

This study evaluates how different directive forms, such as Plan Pointers and Record-Directive Form, influence agent memory retrieval. Testing across 14,760 attempts showed that length-matched criteria outperformed bare IDs by 35 points on certain models, though results varied significantly across different LLM providers.
