Impact of Persistent Memory and Code Banks on LLM Agents

A study on programmatic Chinese-character drawing shows that persistent memory provides modest gains for LLM agents. While free-form notes improved first-attempt success by 4.6%, a design combining free-form memory with a reusable code bank showed more significant advantages on complex, later-stage tasks.
