Identifying Causal Backbones From Private Agent Reports

Research shows that local causal marginals from multiple agents do not uniquely identify a shared causal backbone under standard compatibility assumptions. Infinitely many joint intervention kernels can produce identical private reports, though additive separability allows for conditional recovery.
