MGhana-ST Dataset Provides Low-Resource Speech Translation for Ghana

A new dataset for four Ghanaian languages (Ga, Twi, Ewe, and Fante) introduces 16.1 hours of paired speech and English translations. Experiments using Whisper-small show that multilingual training can actually degrade performance for specific low-resource varieties like Ewe and Fante.
