Med-AR Autoregressive Vision-Language Models for Chest X-Ray Classification

Med-AR-8B and Med-AR-2B are radiology-native autoregressive models pretrained on structured reports and region annotations. On the MIMIC-CXR dataset, Med-AR-8B outperformed Med-CLIP, specifically increasing tail-label mean AUPRC from 0.1033 to 0.1441.
