LLMs Organize Moral Knowledge Across Independent Dimensions

Linear probes on open-weight models show that moral foundations like care, fairness, and authority occupy near-maximal independent dimensions in representation space. While these dimensions share a positive common component with a mean pairwise cosine similarity of 0.26, they do not collapse into a single moral detector.
