Wayu-Paxa-OCR-Zero demonstrates that typeface diversity, 2D structure, and handwriting glyphs are critical for transferring synthetic OCR supervision to real Thai documents. Page-level training on in-domain reconstructed data achieves a 1.82% median character error rate, approaching real printed supervision.
