H+ Embedding Uses Variable-Length Phrases for Medical Retrieval

H+ Embedding provides a multi-granularity retrieval method that predicts context-dependent phrase partitions to bridge the gap between global vectors and token-level late interaction. In medical and scientific tasks, the phrase retrieval branch outperformed global retrieval by 6.91 macro nDCG@10.
