Gradient Boosting Reinforcement Learning
October 20, 2026
Gradient Boosting Reinforcement Learning (GBRL) integrates tree construction directly into the agent-environment interaction loop to handle non-stationary data distributions. This framework addresses neural network limitations with structured or categorical features by interleaving gradient boosting with continuous environment sampling, outperforming standard neural architectures in domains with highly discrete observation spaces.
