Gated Activation Steering Mitigates Hallucination and Sycophancy in Medical QA

This framework uses Inference Time Intervention (ITI) to learn separate steering directions for hallucination and sycophancy using contrastive clinical pairs. Gated activation allows for targeted intervention, preventing the degradation of correct responses that occurs with broad, always-on steering.
