FiMI Banking Model via Preference Optimization and Reinforcement Learning

FiMI Banking uses preference optimization and reinforcement learning to improve safe response behavior and tool-use in Indian retail banking tasks. Preference optimization increased out-of-scope refusal rates from 52% to 80%, while RL improved edge-case multi-turn tool performance from 0.509 to 0.718.
