Unified Framework for Evaluating Real-Time Voice Agents

This study addresses the fragmentation in voice agent evaluation by bridging speech modeling, turn-taking psycholinguistics, and agentic benchmarks. It finds that chunked cascade architectures currently outperform end-to-end systems in achieving state-of-the-art duplex behavior.
