Transcript Compression Increases False Negatives in Medical Misinformation Detection

Testing on Japanese medical YouTube videos shows that using LLM summaries, RAG, or screening instead of full transcripts increases false negatives in veracity classification. The full-transcript baseline remains the most effective method for identifying fake medical content.
