MorphAustro-Tok Improves Tagalog Machine Translation via Morphological Tokenization

MorphAustro-Tok uses a specialized tokenizer that preserves non-contiguous roots and positional infix tokens in Tagalog. In comparative studies, this approach improved Tagalog machine translation by up to 3.40 chrF++ points over standard BPE baselines by respecting morphological boundaries.
