PoPLi Detects Covert AI Agent Collusion via Behavioral Testing
October 30, 2026
The Partner-Outsider Positive Listening (PoPLi) framework detects covert collusion by measuring how an agent's actions change when a message is reworded. In simulations, PoPLi achieved scores between 0.48 and 0.59 for detecting coded messages, whereas message-only monitors failed to distinguish collusion.
