DatedGPT: 1.3B Models with Strict Annual Data Cutoffs

DatedGPT consists of twelve 1.3B-parameter models trained with strict annual data cutoffs from 2013 to 2024 to prevent lookahead bias in forecasting. In stock return prediction tasks, DatedGPT-instruct achieved an annualized Sharpe ratio of 3.20 without data leakage.
