Vision-Language Models Exhibit Fragmented Theory-of-Mind Profiles

Nine frontier vision-language models (VLMs) show inconsistent Theory-of-Mind (ToM) capabilities across different psychological tasks. Models fail the Keysar Director Task with a 78% egocentric error rate and exhibit intention attribution profiles significantly closer to high-functioning-autistic-adult means than typical-development-adult means.
