Conversational versus Dashboard Explainable AI for UAV Intrusion Detection: An Empirical Study of Operator Trust and Reliance

Conversational XAI interfaces powered by LLMs improve operator trust and reliance during UAV intrusion detection compared to static visualization dashboards. In post-incident auditing tasks, participants found the natural language interface more effective for investigating complex, high-dimensional multimodal cyber-physical data than traditional dashboard displays.
