Segmentation-Classification Pipelines for Retinopathy of Prematurity Plus Detection

Researchers evaluated eleven configurations for automated ROP Plus disease screening using 1,635 fundus images. Results show vessel segmentation achieved a pooled Dice score of 0.533 and IoU of 0.368, testing multi-task and segment-then-classify architectures for clinical deployment.
