CiteAnchor: Source-Aware Grounding for Hallucinated Citation Detection and Resolution

CiteAnchor uses source-aware grounding and field-level verification to detect hallucinated citations and assess source recoverability. Using the CiteResolve benchmark, the framework achieves a 0.841 F1 score with GPT-5.6 Luna and a 74.7% end-to-end success rate, outperforming baseline models by up to 36.8 F1 points.
