BuzzASR Scales Monolingual Whisper Fine-Tuning to 102 Languages

BuzzASR utilizes language-specific fine-tuning, tokenizer replacement, and text-only data augmentation to adapt Whisper models for 102 languages. The resulting swarm of monolingual models outperforms Whisper-large-v3 on 77 of the 102 target languages by reducing character error rates.
