Automated Design Optimization via Strategic Search with Large Language Models

AUTO implements an iterative optimization framework that decouples high-level strategic planning from low-level implementation using specialized LLM agents. In GPU code optimization benchmarks, the framework achieves 94% of cuBLAS double-precision performance for matrix multiplication and outperforms manual chemical kinetics optimizations by up to 1.74x.
