Are LLMs becoming similarly creative? Evidence from three years of models

Analysis of model outputs from the past three years reveals a statistically significant decrease in response diversity across open-ended tasks. Using sentence-embedding similarity on the Infinity-Chat100 and Alternate Uses Task datasets, the study indicates that LLM outputs are converging in creative substance despite improvements in quality.
