Adaptive Hybrid PSO Uses Swarm Diversity to Modulate Gradients

The Adaptive Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization (AHPSO) method uses a sigmoid function on swarm diversity to modulate gradient descent influence. When matched for total function evaluations, AHPSO outperformed CMA-ES on smooth local basins, though standard PSO performed better on 52.5% of general configurations.
