AdaGEPA improves prompt engineering by using an adaptive feedback-allocation method that selects task-specific examples based on identified prompt weaknesses. By replacing only one example per feedback minibatch to target specific failures, the method achieves higher mean validation scores across six downstream benchmarks compared to non-adaptive selection.
