Low-Cost Open Platform for End-to-End Autonomous Driving Research
September 4, 2026
A new miniature Ackermann vehicle platform integrates physical hardware with a Webots digital twin for end-to-end autonomous driving research. A command-conditioned behavior cloning baseline achieved a 6.1 cm mean cross-track error in real-world closed-loop experiments.
HOW THIS AFFECTS YOU
●
builderYou can use this low-cost hardware/software loop to test autonomous policies without full-scale vehicle costs.
●
researcherThe platform allows for direct validation of simulation-based methods on physical hardware.
