Theory of Planned Behavior Outperforms Big 5 for Predicting LLM Actions

Across 11 frontier LLMs and four behavioral tasks, Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) psychometric probes predict model behavior more reliably than Big 5 personality traits, which show substantial self-report/behavior dissociation. TPB's behavior-specific intention measures close the gap between what models report and what they do.
