Pentagon Expands AI Vendor Roster to Eight Cleared Firms

DoD has cleared eight AI vendors for classified Impact Level 6-7 networks: Google, Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, OpenAI, SpaceX, Oracle, and Reflection AI. Anthropic was explicitly excluded after being flagged as a supply-chain risk for refusing unrestricted Pentagon use of Claude, a significant commercial and policy signal for enterprise AI procurement.
