For block-level NRMSE targets between 10^-6 and 10^-4, standard Guaranteed Autoencoder residual correction via SVD/PCA becomes rate-dominated by the correction stream. The proposed LBRC coder treats the learned residual as structurally distinct and applies adaptive quantization, reducing total bitrate in the high-fidelity regime.
