Compliance-by-Construction Proposed as Architecture Pattern for Regulated LLM Agents

Rather than relying solely on guardrails, this position paper argues that regulatory constraints and typed process models should be embedded as core architectural components in LLM agents for regulated industries. The compliance-by-construction paradigm prevents control-flow violations structurally, with guardrails reserved for semantic error catching.
